DWAI paid a courtesy visit to the Rule of Law & Anti-corruption Programme (ROLAC) a few weeks ago. For their extraordinary service to the community of PWDs, DWAI presented to ROLAC an award of recognition & excellence for their outstanding contributions & support towards the development & betterment of the disability community in Nigeria.
ROLAC was pleased to receive the award and commended the appreciative mind of DWAI. ROLAC admitted that discrimination against PWDs is still on and women & girls still facing GBV. ROLAC promised to support DWAI in battling GBV the way they can and in turn donated copies of Disability Act 2018 and Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP) to strengthen the advocacy strength of DWAI.
